PB&J Sandwich by Darren Maurer

6" x 6" on Gallery Wrapped Canvas

In keeping with the jelly theme.....I really love painting peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I always insist on grape jelly, preferbably Welch's brand. The chunky jelly reflects the light but is also translucent enough that where it is spread thin the bread is illuminated in that cool grape rosey purple color. Painting Sold.

I love paintings that take everyday objects and make you view them in such a way that you truly notice and SEE them. Great work!

I've seen a few paintings with the same subject matter but this is the first I tried to pick up and eat! I love it.

Well, I've never tried to pick up and eat anything on the computer screen :D but I thought this one and the one before this were photos.

I want to say Thank You for showing that not all paintings have to be the same....or take a long time to complete! I just started painting on canvas and everytime I get discouraged or upset that they are not turning out the way I want them to...I look at your blog! Thanks for the inspiration!
