Tricycle by Darren Maurer

8" x 10"
I found this tricycle and knew I had to paint it. The simple red and white shiny surfaces and an interesting shadow make this paintings work for me. I haven't posted in awhile due to a commission piece I have been working on. I'm getting closer to finished on it so hopefully I can get more consistent here. This is painting 104 in my Painting A Day Series. Painting Sold

I like the mystery in this piece. The shadow and the fact that you only see part of the bike add suspense. Cool idea. Reminds me of, Robert Vickery. I think that is his name. Anyway, glad you are back in blog world.p

This is a really nice piece Darren, I particularly like the composition you have used. Reminds me so much of when my son was small...I'm sure it will strike chords in a few hearts:)

Unbelivable, it looks like the trike my Dad made (welded together) when my kids were little. My maiden name is Maurer.
