Cantaloupe by Darren Maurer

5" x 7"
This is actually the painting for yesterday. (Thursday) I wasn't able to finish it last night and had to finish it today. The subtle oranges in the cantaloupe needed an adjustment by a process known in painting as glazing. A thin layer of paint is applied over dry paint to slightly change the color. This is painting 62 in my Painting A Day Series. Painting Sold

so juicy. I wonder how you start and finish such high quality painting everyday.

I spotted you at Luis' blog.

Thanks for checking my blog. I haven't been averaging quite one a day but I try. I try to have my ideas ready and then the paintings go faster. Getting the idea is half the work for me.
